Sorry to leave you hanging yesterday. Seriously, let’s totally hang out today. No, I’m not just saying that. Yeah. I’ll upload pictures. Just like the good old days. Would you like that? Would you, blog? Okay, buddy. Here goes!
On Saturday, Shawn, Sarah, and I drove up the coast of California to San Francisco. It was really pretty excellent. Even though it was cloudy, we saw some amazing views. Some of it was regular type highway, but some of it was super-slow windy mountain pass. We stopped to take pictures and have a snack. Shawn found a very cute cat to play with. He’s an outdoorsman!
We arrived in San Francisco around 8pm, and we went straight to Haight Street, where we thought our show was. We were wrong. Rather than a show, we found lots of aggressive homeless people. It was a treat. There were ample opportunities to buy drugs and feel as if our lives were in danger. Also, I was carrying Dr. Bear.
We finally found out where our show actually was (big time assist to Mark Catalano) and went down to the Mission, where we met up with Boston friend Pat Bulger to perform on his show “Things We Made” at the Dark Room Theater. It was really really awesome. There were lots of good comics, and some fun sketches, and a quirky music/video dude named DJ Real who was also funny. Pat and co-host Jesse Fernandez did a great job of keeping the crowd engaged and laughing. Then Shawn, Sarah, SF friend Gil and I saw a band at a local bar.
