Hey folks!

We’re rocking it at a Super 8 Motel in southwestern New Mexico.  It took us a million gajillion hours to get here because Texas is enormous.  Also, the expanses of highway in Texas without gas stations are enormous.  Moreover, the distances you have to drive to find a gas station off the highway in Texas are enormous.  Además (that’s Spanish for additionally), the relief you feel when you are not murdered because you narrowly escape running out of gas in Texas is enormous.

Yesterday morning we went to the Stevie Ray Vaughn statue in South Austin.  It was a pretty sweet statue.  Then we headed out, for the aforementioned eternity of driving.  I was a useless pile of goo by 11pm, so Shawn gets the MVP of driving award.  Today, onwards to San Diego for a show at Lestat’s and a night of fun with Misha and Rachel!

They had a lot to talk about. Guitars. Texas. Bigfoot.

Goodbye, Austin! Hello, less fun rest of Texas!
